Located on Highway 1, also known as the Pacific Coast Highway, is Point Mugu State Park. During the gray whale migration from mid-February through March, Point Mugu makes a good viewing point to see these leviathans make their way north. You can surf, kite-surf, swim, snorkel and bird-watch the long stretches of beach in the park. Dogs are not allowed on this beach, leashed or otherwise. Parking is available.

Aviators can take in the CAF Southern California Wings WWII Aviation Museum when visiting Camarillo. This museum features WWII aircraft and features an authentic Japanese Zero fighter plane in the exhibits. The museum hosts a yearly air show with many WWII aviation enthusiasts flying their aircraft into the grounds to display and fly for the enjoyment of the crowds. If you wish to take a ride in an authentic WWII aircraft, the museum sells flights in WWII Warbirds with trained pilots at the helm.

View one of the largest collections of birds’ nests and eggs in the country, stroll through an original ranch house or get up close and personal to an F8F-2 Bearcat fighter plane.
Open the last Friday of each month (you’ll need reservations) the museum has a natural history collection specializing in eggs and nests of birds from around the world. A research and education institution as well as a public museum, its collection is one of the world’s largest and truly a fascinating exhibit to experience.
An architectural splendor, the two-story Queen Anne Victorian was once home to the city’s namesake, Adolfo Camarillo. Also the former home to the Camarillo White Horses, which appeared regularly in the Pasadena Rose Parade for decades, the masterfully restored house and grounds are now open to the public.
The museum’s collection of old time war birds from bombers to fighter jets regularly make appearances at airshows throughout the state. Check out Hellcats, Zeros, Bearcats and Spitfires among many other popular models, which reside in the museum’s hanger.
Enjoy the quaint museum celebrating the history of the area and stroll through the handsome and lovingly cared for botanical garden directly outside.
A homage to and celebration of the 40th President of the United States, the library and museum house countless artifacts from his life, his actual Air Force One plane, a piece of the Berlin Wall as well the memorial site where President Reagan is laid to rest.
